Class Descriptions:

Indoor Cycling (Spinning):  Heart-rate training oriented profiles set to music on Schwinn IC Pro stationary bicycles (the original "Spinner"!).  Profiles are periodized (intensity varies) throughout the week, month and year.  Bring a heart rate monitor, water bottle and cycling shoes (not required, but recommended). Wear cycling shorts!

    Strength Classes stress heart rate above Lactate Threshold and continuous effort with no recovery periods
    Interval Classes stress big swings in heart rate with varying recovery periods and depths depending on the interval profile for that day
    Technique and Recovery Classes stress lower heart rate levels with concentration and focus on form, balance, pedal stroke, cadence, etc., rather than effort.


Core Strength and Flexibility Yoga: These classes will be taught by Abby Schonier who is a Certified Personal Trainer, a Certified Spinning® Instructor, a Certified YogaFit® Instructor, and a cyclist. This  Vinyasa-style yoga links strength-based yoga poses together in a flowing sequence targeting the fitness enthusiast and training athlete.
